IEA Global EV Outlook 2023 Launch
Background Information
The annual Global EV Outlook (GEVO) analyses recent developments in electric mobility across the globe. It is developed with support from members of the Electric Vehicles Initiative (EVI). Combining historic findings with projections to 2030, the report examines key areas such as deployment of electric vehicles (EV) and charging infrastructure, energy use, CO2 emissions and battery demand. The report incorporates lessons from frontrunner markets to help policy makers and stakeholders identify the measures and market systems that would best support electric vehicle adoption.
This edition will build on the core themes of past editions, updating data and analysis pieces specifically related to emerging markets and developing economies, investments in EV supply chains, policies related to domestic EV supply chains, and EV charging infrastructure.
The Global EV Outlook 2023 will be launched in two separate webinar events on 27 April: at 9:0-10:00 (CEST) and at 17:00- 18:00 (CEST). During the webinar the authors will present and discuss the main findings of the report. Attendees will be given a chance to comment and ask questions during a Q&A session.
