Infrastructure Investment Plan

The Mexican President signed an agreement with representatives of the private sector to expand investment in infrastructure, energy and communications projects, which will translate into job creation 

 

The agreement updates the infrastructure plan announced in 2019 through a package of 39 projects in communications and transportation, tourism, energy, drinking water, sanitation and environment. 

 

Out of the 39 projects seven are in execution, for an investment of MXN 38 billion. These projects concern the construction, maintenance, rehabilitation, and operation of various highways across the country.

 

The 32 announced projects will amount to MXN 259 billion, which will be divided as MXN 156,000 for the communications sector, MXN 98,000 for the energy sector, and MXN 2 billion in water and environment.
