Law of Solidarity and Extraordinary Contribution to help mitigate the effects of the Pandemic - Natural gas exploration subsidies

A tax placed on the wealthiest tax bracket was approved by the parliament in Argentina to mitigate the economic effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

 

In the text, 25% of the revenues of the tax will be dedicated to natural gas exploration, development and production programs. These funds will be managed by the state-owned companies Integración Energética Argentina S.A (IEASA) and Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales (YPF) for a term of no less than 10 years.
