Green Innovation Fund - METI funds hydrogen supply chain

Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) proposed to allocate 300 billion JPY for the development of the hydrogen import and supply chain - including the development of transport and liquefaction technologies - of which 26 billion JPY to subsidies the demonstration of hydrogen co-fired gas turbine technology. 

 

In addition, 70 billion JPY are to be used to develop large-scale electrolyser projects for hydrogen production. This is part of the 2 trillion JPY Green Innovation Fund managed by METI's subsidiary development organization NEDO.
