Australian Critical Minerals Research and Development Hub

The Australian Critical Minerals Research and Development Hub will build on pre-existing critical minerals research capabilities by bringing together expertise from Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), Geoscience Australia and the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) for the benefit of the critical minerals sector as a whole. With funding of up to $50.5 million, the AUD Hub will:

• scale-up and commercialise critical minerals R&D; 
• help coordinate, guide and prioritise critical minerals R&D efforts across Australia; 
• connect critical minerals projects to the technical and research expertise they need;
• support strategic international critical minerals collaboration and science diplomacy. 

The Hub will work with industry and other researchers to focus research and development efforts on national priorities.
