Aid to the Economy Due to High Prices of Electricity and Natural Gas

Targeted support from June 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022 for companies that have suffered from increased natural gas and electricity prices. Support separated into three types:

  • Simple aid, where 50% of eligible energy costs is reimbursed, up to EUR 62,000 per agricultural sector company and EUR 75,000 per fisheries company.
  • Special aid, where 30% of eligible energy costs is reimbursed, up to EUR 2 million per company.
  • Aid for energy-intensive companies, where 50% of eligible energy costs is reimbursed, up to EUR 50 million per beneficiary. maximum of 50 percent of eligible costs.


The law also provides for additional funds in the amount of 6 million euros in liquidity credits  for companies affected by the crisis, which will be tendered by the Slovenian Enterprise Fund, expected at the beginning of next year.

In December 2022, the first part of the aid has been paid. As many as 1,130 beneficiaries has been paid a total of EUR 40 million for eligible expenses in the period from June to September 2022.
