HRK 21 billion energy price package

The Croatian Government adopted a package of measures in the total amount of HRK 21 billion to mitigate the consequences of increased energy prices. The measures include an electricity price cap of 59 euro/MWh for households applicable to half-yearly consumption under 2500 kWh from 1 October 2022 to 31 March 2023. For consumption above 2500 kWh, households will pay  88 euro/MWh. Companies have electricity prices capped at HRK 0.5295/kWh up to 250,000 kWh half-yearly consumption. Gas prices are capped until 1 April 2023. District heating prices remain frozen until the end of the 2022/2023 heating season. The package also includes a price discount of 5% to 20% per cubic meter of firewood.
