Based on an agreement between the Danish government and the Danish political parties in 2021, from 2022 to 2025, grants of DKK 4 million are allocated annually to a financing pool maintained by the Danish Energy Agency for local energy communities for projects related to the energy transition. In 2022, the total support granted by the Danish Energy Agency was of 4 million DKK, of which DKK 1 million was allocated to projects providing information and knowledge to local communities about renewable energy and DKK 3 million to larger projects to develop clean energy solutions locally. Further continuation of the financing pool for 2023 will be re-evaluated.
