Future Made in Australia - Renewable Energy Superpower (Solar Sunshot Program)

As part of the Future Made in Australia plan, the Australian government announced AUD 1 billion in funding for creation of the Solar Sunshot programme, which is to be administered by the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA). This programme will provide production incentives and grants for the development of solar manufacturing capacity, with a specific focus on former coal communities. 

A total of AUD 835.6 million over 10 years, with an additional AUD 200 million between 2034 and 2036, was allocated to the Solar Sunshot programme in the 2024-2025 budget.
