Energy Innovators Plus (Extension)

Energy Innovators Plus (EIPlus) renews (until 2006) and expands the Retrofit of Existing Commercial Buildings (RECB) programme and the Energy Innovators Initiative (EII). The expanded EII includes new aspects such as the elimination of minimum requirements for funding, more partnerships with member-based associations and special considerations for Aboriginal, northern, rural, remote and complex projects. It is intended to stimulate further energy efficiency retrofits of commercial and institutional buildings. It will focus on smaller retrofit projects and large, complex, multi-sectoral projects. In addition to retrofit planning and implementation, the $56.6 million includes incentives for refrigeration and equipment through related programs.
