A revision of the regulation from 9,991/2000 mandating the expenditure on R&D by electric utilities of 1% of their net operating revenue unless they generate electricity solely from renewables or cogeneration. The revision widens the scope of eligible expenditures to include innovations closer to market and metrics to evaluate impacts.
