Mandatory use of Solar water Heating systems in Haryana

This policy mandates the use of SWH across all government buildings and other buildings which use hot water. It has been conceived as a market transformation effort for energy efficient appliances. The objective is to reduce electricity use by avoiding the use of conventional water heaters and optimize energy use through integrating renwable energy. The building categories targeted under this mandate are: Domestic buildings with area > 500 sq yard Energy Intensive Industries Government Buildings Government owned structures, hospitals, hotels and institutions.
