Renewable Energy Programme

The Renewable Energy Programme (PER) was part of the Energy Saving and Efficiency Plan (PAEE), which is, in turn, an annex of the National Energy Plan (Plan). The Renewable Energy Programme promoted energy security and diversification. In order to attain the objective set in the PER, i.e., to introduce 1 171 ktoe from renewables from 1991 to 2000, total investments costs were an estimated amount of PTA 334 000 million and total public aid (coming from all public administrations) was PTA 70 118 million.
