KEY-Programme

Last updated: 5 November 2017
The KEY-Programme is a professional traffic action programme, included in the environmental management models and in energy conservation agreements of the truck and delivery van sector and the bus and coach sector. It is based on ISO 9002 and ISO 14001 standards. At present, there are nearly 7 000 KEY-trained heavy vehicle drivers in Finland, whose fuel consumption has decreased after the training by 3-4 litres per 100 km. The saving percentages vary from 8 to 12% and this has been achieved with an increase in average speed with less traffic accidents and lower service costs of the buses and trucks.
