GOST 32970-2014. Non-ducted air conditioners and heat pumps. Testing and rating for performance

Source: International Energy Agency
Last updated: 22 July 2020

This International Standard establishes standard conditions for evaluating the performance and efficiency of air-to-air air conditioners and heat pumps without ducting. This standard applies to air conditioners and heat pumps with duct ratings of less than 8 kW and designed to operate at an external static pressure of less than 25 Pa. This International Standard specifies test methods for determining performance and efficiency indicators.

This standard applies to equipment installed in residential, commercial and industrial environments. Equipment (air conditioners and / or heat pumps without air ducts with a capacity of less than 8 kW and designed to operate at an external static pressure of less than 25 Pa) must be factory-made and have an electric drive and a mechanical compressor.

This standard applies to equipment using one or more refrigeration systems, one outdoor unit and one or more indoor units controlled by a separate thermostat or controller. This standard applies to equipment that consists of one, several or a variable number of components of various capacities.

The assessment and testing of the following equipment is not within the scope of this standard:

a) water-powered heat pumps and water-cooled air conditioners;

b) air-to-air multi-split air conditioners and heat pumps.

c) mobile (non-window) devices with a condenser exhaust duct;

d) individual components that do not form a complete cooling system;

e) equipment using an absorption refrigeration cycle;

f) equipment with air ducts.
