Last updated: 16 September 2020
The coordination between the regional implementation (RES) and national implementation (main energy system) will take place in the inter-administrative programme NPRES (the National RES Programme). Local and regional authorities and the national government will naturally remain responsible for the use of their own range of instruments. In this program, Regional Energy Strategies (RES) are being developed. These include the regional implementation approach for the agreements made on a national level in the new planned climate agreement (e.g. on electricity, infrastructure and built environment), as well as measures to shift housing from natural gas towards other heating options. The RES are being developed in a country wide program of 31 regions in which al provinces and municiplities participate, together with regional stakeholders.
