Inflation Subsidies

The Ministry of Community Development announced the launch of a government flexible and variable monthly subsidy to support low-income Emirati households in the context of rising prices of fuel, food, electricity and water. For the fuel subsidy, a specified amount of money is allocated to Emirati households based on the fuel prices, in particular when the price of fuel goes above AED 2.1/L. For electricity and water, a specified amount of money is deducted from the beneficiary households’ monthly bill.
