Senate Bill No. 454/2017 on the reduction of pollutant emissions from road vehicles

The 2017 law on pollutant emissions from road transport vehicles set targets and objectives to gradually reduce the sales of ICE cars. 
It notably set the following landmarks: 

• At most 90% of car sales to be ICEs in January 2030
• At most 70% of car sales to be ICEs in January 2040
• At most 10% of car sales to be ICEs in January 2050
• An ICE sales ban by 2060 at the latest.

Bill has been shelved in 2022.
