Jordan - Canada FTA
The Canada-Jordan Free Trade Agreement (FTA) entered into force in 2012. It provides for import tariff elimination for a number of products, including:
- Nickel oxides and hydroxides
- Aluminum ores and concentrates
- Waste and scrap of tinned iron or steel
- Heat Pumps
- Lithium oxide and hydroxide
- Nickel oxides and hydroxides
- Lithium carbonates
- Motor cars and other motor vehicles
- Photosensitive semiconductor devices, including photovoltaic cells whether or not assembled in modules or made up into panels; light emitting diodes
To qualify as originating from one of the signatory country, and thus for import tariff elimination, the share of externally source material in a manufactured product should not exceed 65% of its price.
