Law on Rational and Efficient Use of Energy

The Law mandates ministries to use renewable energy for thermal purposes and enables the state to establish norms and mechanisms to incentivise renewable energy. The Law stipulates that the ministries responsible for housing and energy will jointly promote the use of renewable energy for thermal use, such as water heating and heating and cooling in new and existing buildings.

In addition, the law also encourages the commercial sector to favour the distribution of renewable technologies.
