NOM-031-ENER-2012: Energy efficiency of light emitting diodes (LED) for roads and public outdoor areas. Specifications and testing methods
This standard establishes the minimum efficiency limits in lumen per watt for LED lamps for roads and public outdoor areas. The luminaires with LEDs for street lighting must have a minimum luminous efficacy value of 70 lm/W. See the attachment for the minimum efficiency levels for outdoor lighting.
For the Color Rendering Index (CRI): (a) the luminaires intended for street lighting must have a minimum CRI value of 67. (b) the luminaires intended for outdoor lighting must have an minimum CRI value of 70. Additionally, luminaires with LEDs must have a power factor of at least 0.90. The total harmonic distortion in electric current must be less than 20%.
